My experience with Broadway on Broad has been defined by creative collaboration, community-building, and hands-on leadership.
President
As President of Broadway on Broad, I led a thriving, student-run performing arts organization dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the power of musical theatre on campus. Being in this role for two years, I oversaw all strategic planning, programming, and creative direction from cabaret theme selection and setlist development to membership engagement and community partnerships. I managed a diverse executive board, facilitated collaborative decision-making, and ensured that every event reflected our mission of inclusivity, artistic excellence, and access to the arts for all students, regardless of major.
My presidency strengthened my leadership, communication, and project-management skills, particularly in navigating creative teams, organizing large-scale performances, and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment for performers. Through this work, I deepened my commitment to creating spaces where students could grow artistically, build confidence, and celebrate Broadway’s impact on culture and community.
PR Director
As PR Director for Broadway on Broad, I led the organization’s digital storytelling and social media strategy, transforming our online presence into a vibrant hub for theatre lovers on campus. I managed content creation across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, developing campaigns that highlighted rehearsals, cast spotlights, behind-the-scenes moments, and show announcements.
I oversaw branding, visual direction, and tone of voice to ensure consistency and authenticity, and I used analytics to guide posting schedules, engagement strategy, and audience growth. I collaborated closely with the executive board to amplify events, boost attendance, and expand our reach to new members.
Through this role, I strengthened my skills in digital marketing, audience engagement, creative content production, and community management while helping build an online presence that reflected the joy, diversity, and artistry of musical theatre.
