About Elena

With a story to tell and an audience to reach, I’m in my element. Hi! I’m Elena Erdley—a communicator, connector, and creative who loves turning ideas into experiences that bring people together. Graduating from Temple University in May 2026, I major in Public Relations and minor in Event and Entertainment Management. I received my certificate in children’s media this December.

I currently serve as Vice President of Temple University’s PRSSA chapter, where I lead our executive board in planning programming and creating opportunities for members to grow personally and professionally. I also am serving my second year as President for Temple’s musical theatre cabaret club, Broadway on Broad. This fall, I was an intern for SPRYTE Communications while also being involved in freelance work. I get to do a little bit of everything, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Looking ahead, I aspire to continue building a career using storytelling to bridge ideas, people, and purpose.

What drives me most is connection. I believe PR, and life in general, is about creating shared experiences that spark conversation and inspire community. I value listening first, leading with curiosity, and making space for different voices and ideas. Whether I’m planning a live event, designing a campaign, or brainstorming a new idea, I bring energy, empathy, and fun vibes to every project. I’ve always believed that creativity and play are essential to help us communicate with our audience on a human level.

Fun Facts!

Since my first performance in "Polar Express" as a six year old, I have been a theatre kid through and through. From doing children's theatre, to community theatre, school shows, and being president of my high school's theatre board, I always find a way to stay in touch with stage.

I started dance at the age of three and never looked back. Every girl has their first love, and mine was the feeling of doing it "one more time" thirty times in a row. Not even an ankle surgery kept me from the studio, where I worked on ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, and cotemporary.

Collaboration

Senior year of high school I had the opportunity to lead the yearbook staff as Editor in Chief. This small, but mighty, group of four people gave me the chance to learn delegation and were there to see the real beginning of my love for graphic design and editorial writing.

Three years in a row I served as a camp counselor for the camp I grew up attending, Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp, with this past year being my first on staff. Serving here taught me to lead with empathy, encourage confidence, and make every camper feel seen. From organizing activities to navigating unexpected challenges, I created a supportive, energetic environment that helped kids grow.

As a pastor’s kid, I grew up surrounded by community events, service projects, and plenty of impromptu responsibilities. One could say it is the perfect early training for a career in communication and events. Growing up in a community-centered environment taught me empathy, leadership, and how to make everyone feel welcome. These are skills I still carry into every project I work on.

I spent ages 3 through 11 in Lincoln, Nebraska, a place that gave me a childhood full of open spaces, warm neighborhoods, and a lot of room to grow. Living in a city with a small-town heart taught me early how to connect with people, appreciate community, and find joy in simple moments. It’s a part of my story that shaped my perspective, my personality, and the way I show up in the world today.
